  • water
  • 6 tablespoons of baking soda (it has good cleaning functions according to Wikipedia)
  • 20 drops tea tree essential oil
  • 20 drops spearmint  or peppermint or essential oil

Recipe 2

Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp sodium bicarbonate (baking soda)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 6 drops tea tree oil
  • 6 drops peppermint oil

Mix the salt and baking soda in a bowl thoroughly. Next you need to mix the essential oils with olive oil.  Choose olive oil brands you may trust. Peppermint oil will add a pleasant flavor to this tea tree oil toothpaste. Pour tea tree oil and peppermint oil in a tablespoon and then add olive oil. You may use sunflower oil too instead of olive one. (Here we’ve compared sunflower oil vs olive oil). Add the oils to the powder. Mix well. You need to receive a consistent texture.  Store in a sealed jar (a glass container is ideal) at room temperature.  Use as any other toothpaste. It won’t leave the icky aftertaste and fight the bacteria.
